Horizon Karon Beach Resort & Spa

We had an enjoyable stay at the Horizon hotel. The hotel team are working on bringing it back to its former glory, after being shut over the Covid period. Generally, things work well. The 3 pools are wonderful, with only one of the pool bars operational. The restaurant is good and we enjoyed breakfast there every morning. The rooms are fine and the hotel is in the process of upgrading them, for example, they put in brand new fridges while we were there. The part that stands out is the wonderful staff, right from the reception team (Jip was amazing) to the pool bar team (Dao, Choi) and the restaurant staff (too many to name). Always smiling, always willing to help, etc. Definitely recommend this hotel.

The spa at the Horizon has some specialised masseuse offering excellent thai therapies. Special mention of Aeaw and PU as excellent therapist who offered exceptional therapy to my friends and self.

First of all I would like to thank all the staff for awsome care and thanks for the complementary special birthday celebration deco and cake. And special thanks to Ms. Care who was taken care of us during our stay at Horizon Spa and Resort. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with genuine smiles and outstanding hospitality. The check-in process was smooth and welcoming. Our room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed with a stunning view — the perfect place to relax after exploring the island. The resort’s facilities are top-notch! The swimming pool area is serene and well-maintained, and the spa offers one of the most relaxing massages I’ve ever experienced. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of fresh and delicious options — both local and international dishes. What truly makes Horizon stand out is the exceptional service. Every staff member went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They were always polite, helpful, and attentive to every little detail. The location is also perfect — close to the beach, shops, and restaurants, yet still peaceful and quiet enough to unwind. And also near to the night market and shops which is fulfill our needs specially food (AWSOME SEA FOOD WITH REASONABLE PRICES). Overall, our experience at Horizon Spa and Resort was nothing short of amazing. We left with beautiful memories and will definitely return again. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Phuket!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Horizon Karon Beach. The hotel recently reopened after a closure, and it's evident that the staff is doing their best to ensure a great experience for guests. The property is beautifully maintained, with plenty of freshly planted flowers and greenery. The rooms have been renovated as well. The breakfasts were excellent, offering a wide variety of options, and the staff was attentive, ensuring that nothing ran out. We were fortunate to be upgraded to a room with swimming pool access, which was absolutely stunning. These rooms have their own dedicated pool, and since it was mostly just us using it, it felt like having a private pool. However, there were a couple of drawbacks. The hotel does not have elevators, and even if your room is on the ground floor, you need to climb stairs to reach it. This could be challenging for older guests or families with young children. Additionally, while the location is convenient, situated between Karon and Kata, please note that the hotel is on a small hill, which might not be ideal for everyone. Another issue we encountered was ants. While you don't typically see them during the day, leaving food or drinks out (such as a glass of juice on the nightstand) would attract ants by morning. It's something to keep in mind to avoid any inconvenience.

I have stayed at this resort several times over the past 18 years. To me, there always seemed to be bits that were unfinished. Our recent stay occurred after the resort was re opened from being mothballed. The pools and grounds are fantastic. The location (despite the hill), is very good. The food has always been on the ordinary side, but as breakfast is fine. The staff are friendly, but there seems to be fewer of them on each visit. The upside is, that value for money is terrific. I would love to say something nicer than that, but the trade off for the few staff and ordinary food can't be outweighed by price. By all means, stay here. It is nice, but it is a shame that my earlier memories of this resort have slightly soured by what I mentioned above. None the less, I enjoy many good memories here, and hope that my small feedback helps to encourage some better development in the future.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were tidy, staff were nice and met your every need. Only downside is its a little bit up a hill so worth considering when you book. Overall great value for money.

A really beautiful hotel with spacious, airy rooms, a proper refrigerator, and a lovely balcony where you’ll want to sit a little longer. The breakfast is absolutely wonderful – a perfect mix of Thai dishes and Western favorites, so there’s something for everyone. The staff are incredibly helpful and genuinely friendly, and the housekeeping is wow – the rooms are spotless every single day. The only small downside is that the hotel is not wheelchair accessible, and there’s a steep hill to conquer on the way up from the beach – but once you’re there, the view and the feeling almost make it worth it.

A great hotel with a good location and a picturesque area. I would like to say separately about the quality of the spa, it is at a very high level. Special thanks to therapist Aeaw and Pu, they are professionals in their field. We definitely recommend this hotel and spa to visit)
